Spanish Bilingual Preschool Assistant 

Full Time or Part Time | Concord, CA

We seek an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with children ages 2-6. This position requires love, patience, and respect for children. The Assistant will encourage the children to be independent and model appropriate manners and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Teacher with age-appropriate activities to foster development.
  • Engage children with Montessori materials, play, and learning.
  • Assist with toileting, diapering, handwashing, and cleaning.
  • Prepare snacks, serve meals, and maintain a tidy and clean environment.
  • Conduct circle time with songs, finger play, and movement.
  • Supervise children during outdoor play to ensure safety.


Required Qualifications
:

  • 12 units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or concurrently enrolled.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a Fingerprint Background clearance.


Upon hiring, the Following Must be Completed:

  • Negative TB test and must pass a health screening by a medical provider.
  • Proof of Influenza, Pertussis, & Measles Immunization.
  • Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training – valid within 2 years.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preventive Health Certification within 90 days of hire.


Special Skills Needed:

  • Montessori experience or interest in obtaining Montessori Certification.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (fluency), with strong communication skills.
  • Organized, attentive, and able to maintain a calming presence.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Wage: $23 to $28/hour, based on education and experience.
  • Sign on bonus payable after 90 days of employment.
